Sevilla shipped four goals at home to Almeria on Saturday, a number of which were due to some lapse defending on behalf of the Champions League hopefuls and with defensive stability clearly a problem, the return of Dragutinovic would be much welcomed by Jiménez.
The Serbian defender has shown good progress in his recovery from injury over the last few days and is expected to make the squad for the weekend tie with Murcia assuming he proves himself fit enough during the next few days of training.
French defender Julien Escude will once again miss out, but Jiménez also has some further defensive casualties ahead of the Murcia clash, with Aquivaldo Mosquera ruled out through injury and Adriano set to be suspended following his red card against Almeria.
Should Dragutinovic make the squad then it seems likely that he will partner David Prieto in the centre of defence, although young Argentine Federico Fazio could also be moved back into defence after playing as a holding midfielder in recent weeks.
Crespo will take Adriano's position at left-back, while B team defender Lolo Ortiz is likely to be drafted into the squad as back-up due to the other defensive absences.
