Some of Europe's biggest clubs are reported to be tracking Racing Santander starlet Sergio Canales.
Arsenal, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Sevilla are all believed to be keen on the 18-year-old midfielder.
Canales' contract with Racing is set to expire in the summer and the race to land his signature has already begun.
His father and agent Angel Canales has been contacted by a number of interested parties keen to strike a deal at the end of the season.
For now an agreement remains some way off, but Angel admits his son could be on the move in 2010.
Business"We are calm at the moment," he said.
"I understand that clubs are keen to do business but for now it is better that we delay making any decision.
"The future of Sergio does not just depend on money, it will depend on who can offer the best sporting project."
Racing are understandably reluctant to see Canales leave and are prepared to offer him fresh terms in order to keep him in Santander.
However, whether they can fend off the financial rewards on offer elsewhere remains to be seen.
