Barcelona have no plans to sell Yaya Toure, despite the midfielder's agent indicating that a lack of playing time could result in a January transfer request.
Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City are thought to be monitoring the Ivory Coast international, who only signed a new contract in the summer.
The extended deal was designed to deter Toure's admirers, but the 26-year-old has been left increasingly frustrated after only earning a 24-minute substitute appearance in Sunday's El Classico.
However, Barcelona president Joan Laporta insists it is normal for the player's representative, Dimitri Seluk, to complain about a lack of first-team action and does not expect the former Monaco man to leave.
The Barca supremo told Spanish media: "I am convinced that Yaya Toure will be a Barca player for many years and we have not decided to sell.
"The kid offers big performances for the team and I am personally a fan of Toure. The quotes are normal because he is a first-class player who wants more playing time.
"Toure is wanted by the coaches. I am not preoccupied by the quotes of the agent. He has also issued warnings at other times, but the footballer is still here."
