Barcelona sporting director Txiki Begiristain has confirmed he has spoken to Yaya Toure's agent to warn him about discussing the player in the media.
During the week the Ivory Coast international's representative Dimitri Seluk expressed his concerns regarding Toure's future at Camp Nou.
Toure has struggled for regular football this season and Seluk called on Barca to either play him or sell him in the January transfer window.
Begiristain was not happy with Seluk's comments and hopes a meeting between all parties will now put an end to the matter after insisting Toure is part of coach Pep Guardiola's plans.
"I have contacted the agent and our position is clear," Begiristain told the Spanish media.
"The most important thing is Toure.
"I am satisfied with his performances and the dialogue between coach and player. They must be the protagonists.
"In football, interviews are normal for the players, but it is unusual to hear interviews with the agents.
"He understood everything."
