Atletico reject Aguero bid

Atletico Madrid have revealed that they have turned down another bid for their star striker Sergio Aguero.

Majority shareholder Miguel Angel Gil Marin made the announcement on Wednesday but refused to name the club concerned.

Chelsea had a bid for the 21-year-old turned down in the summer and have been strongly linked with the Argentina international ever since the transfer embargo placed on them by Fifa was temporarily suspended, allowing them to sign players in January.

However the former Independiente youngster has ruled out a move in the winter transfer window, instead wishing to review the situation at the end of the season.

"We have had another opportunity (to sell him) and again we have said no," Gil Marin said.

"Aguero will leave Atletico when he wants to go, as happened with Fernando Torres."
