Atletico Madrid defender Tomas Ujfalusi believes his side are capable of beating Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League.
The beleaguered Spanish side travel to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday hoping to build on their poor start in Group D.
Abel Resino's men have picked up just one point in two games so far and now face a difficult trip to London where they will face the current leaders.
Despite his side's current dip in form, Ujfalusi insists Los Colchoneros are more than capable of springing an upset.
"We are eagerly anticipating this match," he said. "Chelsea have been playing well, yes, but we have a lack of points and want to do our best to take something from this game.
"We have the potential to beat every team in our group, including Chelsea."
Poor formAtletico have slumped dramatically close to the foot of the Primera Division table after a poor run on the domestic scene.
Ujfalusi has bemoaned his side's form, admitting that defence has become a concern for the club.
"We have not been doing well, but our form has improved and I'm sure we will climb up the table soon," he said.
"We have conceded too many goals, but that is because of the offensive style of football in the league.
"Everyone is attacking but the defenders have to play their part too."
He added: "The targets remain the same - in La Liga we must finish in a Champions League place and in that competition this year we want to make it past the group stages."
Ujfalusi went on to rubbish reports in the Spanish press suggesting he was under investigation for signing two professional contracts with Sevilla and Atletico.
"Things that are written in the press go beyond me," he said. "The only reality and truth is that I have signed just one contract, with Atletico."
