Toure plays down speculation

Toure plays down speculation

Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure insists he just wants to concentrate on playing amid speculation linking him with a swap deal involving Manchester City's Robinho.

Reports have speculated that the two clubs could do a deal to unite Toure with his brother Kolo at the Premier League outfit.

Barca boss Pep Guardiola is a known admirer of Robinho, who created headlines in Spain this week after declaring an interest in moving to Camp Nou.

City manager Mark Hughes has refused to worry about such paper talk, which he feels is often taken out of context, while Toure himself says he is simply concentrating on events on the pitch.

He told skysports.com : "I don't know about any deal.

"I am a Barcelona player and I am looking forward to a great season again."
