Kone willing to move on

Kone willing to move on

Arouna Kone has admitted that he would be willing to consider a move away from Sevilla.

The Ivorian frontman has fallen out of favour in Andalusia and admits he is unlikely to force his way back into the fold with so many strikers on the club's books.

Reports in Spain suggest that Real Zaragoza are looking to further bolster their creative options and have identified Kone as a potential target.

They regard the African ace as an ideal replacement for the injured Ikechukwu Uche, who is currently sidelined with damaged knee ligaments, and Kone has hinted that he would be willing to seal such a switch.

"I am fit now and I want to play but there is too much competition at Sevilla," Kone told skysports.com .

"I need to play if I want to be involved in the World Cup and the 2010 African Cup of Nations.

"My contract runs until 2012 but I need football. I need first-team action because I am ambitious and want to be involved."

Clearance

Meanwhile, Angel Lafita has finally received clearance to allow him to begin his new career with Zaragoza.

The winger agreed a move to La Romareda over the summer but has been prevented from completing the transfer by former employers Deportivo La Coruna.

Depor have disputed the fee agreed with their Primera Liga rivals and have refused to push the deal through.

As a result, Lafita has been unable to turn out for his new club despite having been unofficially on their books since 31st August.

Depor had appealed to the Spanish football league (LFP) in an effort to claim the money they feel they deserve, but have received no support from the governing body.

The LFP have instead sanctioned the move and given permission for Lafita to take his place in Zaragoza's squad for their trip to Atletico Madrid on Saturday.

Depor are unhappy at the ruling and have revealed that they have already started legal proceedings against Lafita and Zaragoza through the ordinary courts.
