Real Madrid edge ever close to making their first winter signing after Dutch striker, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, passed his medical at the club today, despite carrying an injury.
The player will not be available to play until January because of an ankle problem but Carlos Díez, the chief medical leader at Real Madrid, told the official Real Madrid website he is recovering well.
"The medical exam and the reports of the doctor Van Dyck show that the recovery from injury is going well," he declared.
"Following the explorations and observations it has been confirmed that Huntelaar is eligible to play."
The news will mean that the player should now be presented at the Bernabéu tomorrow, in front of a cluster of cheering Real Madrid fans no doubt.
The Dutch striker is the first winter signing made by Los Blancos but he is unlikely to be the last, with president Ramón Calderón declaring today that they are chasing a winger now.
