Manuel Fernandes might have had to suffer the unwelcome distraction of going to court recently but there was good news for the Portugal international today as he was acquitted of all charges.
The case brought against Fernandes was for throwing a glass at a policeman in a row, but today Marca reports that the player has been cleared of the charges levelled at him.
The public prosecutor had ordered Fernandes to be fined €10,000 but he was acquitted after it was deduced that not only did he not throw the glass, but he wasn't involved in any aggression either.
The player denied the accusation throughout the case, saying that he had not even participated in the incident and now the matter has been resolved.
The judgement is good news for Fernandes and also for Valencia, who could potentially have lost the player for a while if he had been found guilty.
