Higuain wants Real long stay

Gonzalo Higuain says he would love to finish his career at Real Madrid amid reports Arsenal are monitoring his situation.

The talented Argentine striker has proved a revelation since joining the capital giants from River Plate midway through the 2006/07 campaign, concluding last season as the club's top goalscorer on 22 strikes.

Such good form has been replicated again this term and nine goals in his last 10 games leaves him above more celebrated team-mates Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Kaka and Raul in the scoring charts.

Looking to the future, Higuain has spoken of the utmost content he feels at the Bernabeu, telling AS : "It would be wonderful to finish my career here.

"Real Madrid and the city are my second home, it would be fantastic. I would like that the Madrid fans remember me as a great person, humble and hard working."
