Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has revealed the club are close to signing Juventus defender Cristian Molinaro on loan until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old has found first-team opportunities at the Bianconeri limited following the arrival of Fabio Grosso from Lyon last summer and Cerezo is confident of landing his man.
He told Spanish newspaper Marca: "We want to close the deal on Monday or Tuesday.
"It's a loan with an option to buy in June once we have seen how he performs."
Salvio linkedThe Spanish club have also been linked with Argentinean youngster Eduardo Salvio in recent weeks and agent Augustin Gimenez claims his client is close to sealing a move to the Vicente Calderon.
The 19-year-old, currently plying his trade in his homeland with Lanus, has attracted the attention of a number of European clubs but is keen to make the switch to La Liga.
Gimenez told itasportpress.it: "We are in talks with Atletico Madrid and they are very interested in the player.
"They were more convincing and concrete than any other team. We still need to agree some aspects of the transfer but that is likely to happen very soon."
