Deportivo La Coruna winger Andres Guardado has been ruled out for a minimum of two months with an injury.
The 23-year-old left-sided player ruptured a leg muscle in Sunday's 1-0 win over Osasuna at the Riazor and doctors have told him to rest for at least six weeks.
Guardado has been a part of the Deportivo side that has climbed to fourth place in La Liga, and will miss important matches against Valencia and Real Madrid.
He said: "The news has made me very unhappy because now the club is fighting in La Liga and the Copa del Rey and they need the help to maintain our success."
The Mexico international has made more than 70 appearances for Depor since his move from Atlas in 2007.
