Juventus fear they will be unable to land top target Antonio Candreva during the January transfer window.
The Serie A giants have identified the Italy international as a useful acquisition, with the 22-year-old midfielder having shone for Livorno this term.
However, any deal to take him to Turin would be complex as his contract is jointly owned by Livorno and Udinese.
Therefore, any club hoping to sign the youngster would have to reach an agreement which satisfies both of his employers.
Juventus believe they would struggle to strike such an accord, with Udinese known to be keen to take Candreva back once his loan at Livorno reaches a conclusion.
"We could sign him, but we would want a deal which allows us to make the move permanent in the summer, said Juve's sporting director Alessio Secco.
Clause"But Udinese want to insert a clause which will see Candreva join them on a permanent basis.
"I don't think Juventus will be able to reach an agreement with Udinese."
Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago is also believed to be on Juve's wish list, but once again they may be left empty-handed in their efforts to lure the Argentina international away from Santiago Bernabeu.
"The player is happy in Madrid, but is obviously honoured by a proposal like this," said Gago's agent Zoran Vekic in Tuttosport .
"However, Real do not want to sell Gago, as it's difficult to find 23-year-olds with this talent around."
