The manager told Sport, "For us this is a good result, and I hope that we can use it to re-establish our morale.
"We came into this game off a bad stream, yet we managed to draw with a team that can be the champions of the Liga or of Europe."
He further admitted that the result was something of a relief after a dreadful start to the second round of the league, in which the Perequitos have ground out just three victories.
"This creates anxiety, and it's a problem," he said of the run of form.
"We must acquire security, and to do that we need to build from behind."
Highlighting the good work conducted by the defence, he singled out goalkeeper Carlos Kameni.
"He does well on this pitch, and he's a great goalkeeper, being secure and agile," enthused the manager.
"Today he was very good and he helped us a lot."
"The referee? I don't think he was particularly significant."
