Calderón Reveals 'Fiesta-Like' Plane Journey

The 2-0 win over Racing means that Los Blancos take a ten point lead over second placed Villarreal into the final five games of the season, with only a spectacular collapse now likely to see the league trophy reside anywhere but the Bernabéu at the end of the campaign.

With the title all but sealed after an important victory, spirits were high as they traveled back to Madrid after the game, with Calderón telling Radio Marca that "there was a festival atmosphere on the airplane," and indicated that it was shared by everyone on board.

Among the primary revelers was Argentine forward Gonzalo Higuain, who ended a lean patch in front of goal with Madrid's second against Racing, and Calderón admitted that everyone was happy to see the twenty-year old get on the score-sheet.

"We are all especially happy for Higuain. He is player liked by everyone and lately he hasn't enjoyed any luck in front of goal," he affirmed.

Calderón even went a step further in boosting the confident of the youngster, stating that in his opinion "Higuain is a grandisimo player."
