Laudrup Disappointed With Atlético Draw

Despite his disappointment with the result, he felt that the point was vital as the Azulones seek to avoid relegation.

The Dane told a press conference, "The draw serves us at this stage as points are expensive.

"But in this match a draw was a little bit harsh on us. We did well, especially in the second half."

Reflecting that Geta have finally been able to enjoy a midweek without action, he continued, "We saw the true Getafe this Sunday.

"Now we have a week to relax and recharge the batteries."

It may all have been so different at the Coliseum had Rubén de la Red converted a late penalty for the hosts.

"Taking a penalty is a matter of confidence," explained the boss.

He concluded by saying that Geta will survive this season.

The important thing is to return to being the team that we all know after the last few weeks, and we did well today," he said.

"Looking ahead to the last games, I am confident and convinced that we'll move forward."
