Betis were originally handed a two-match ban from playing in their Manuel Ruiz de Lopera after the incident caused the match between them and Athletic on the 15th March to be called off and the victory awarded to Athletic, who were 2-1 up at the moment the match was stopped.
The club appealed the decision in order to allow them to play their game against Barcelona on the 29th March at their usual ground and now, nearly a month later, the Spanish Committee of Sporting Discipline has decided to reduce the ban to one match.
According to Betis' official website, the decision came due to the "extraordinary co-operation of the Betis supporters," who pointed stewards to the location of the man that had thrown the bottle and prevented him from making a getaway from the scene.
Betis have not yet announced when they plan to fulfill the one match ban, but the general assumption is that it will be in their penultimate home game of the season against Valladolid in two weeks time, with their only other remaining home game being a local derby with Sevilla.
Whenever they do decide to fulfill their sanction, they are likely to use Sevilla's Olympic Stadium - nicknamed 'La Cartuja' - as the venue.
