Silva attracting interest

Silva attracting interest

Valencia president Manuel Llorente has admitted that the club have received a number of approaches for star midfielder David Silva.

Premier League trio Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City have all been strongly linked with the Spain winger, while Barcelona and Real Madrid are also rumoured to be chasing the 24-year-old.

Los Che have recently sold one world class player in the form of David Villa, and Llorente has conceded that Silva also has plenty of admirers.

"Yes, some clubs have asked about David Silva," he said.

"This is normal because he is one of our key players and a Spain international. However, this subject is closed until the end of the World Cup.

"If we do receive a formal offer we will study it and decide what is best for the football club."

Cash-rich Manchester City are reported to have initiated a meeting with Valencia in the hope of signing him for around Ј30million.
