Barcelona say that thrashing out a deal for Arsenal's Spain international midfielder Cesc Fabregas will not be resolved quickly.
Barca are keen to bring the talented playmaker back to Camp Nou after he quit the Spanish giants as a teenager for the Premier League.
Fabregas has reportedly signalled his intent to return to Spain despite having a long-term contract with the north Londoners.
Barca's general manager Joan Oliver is pleased the 23-year-old has outlined his desire, but insists the negotiations will take time.
It remains to be seen what transfer fee, if any, will see Arsenal part company with the prized asset with Barca previously stating they would not be paying more than 'market value' for the star.
Long process"This'll be a long process," Oliver told the club's official website .
"The player is under contract with another club.
"What he wants and what we want isn't enough - there's Arsenal.
"We understand that he is a very important player for them."
