Barcelona defender Maxwell has backed the European champions to bounce back from this weekend's defeat to Atletico Madrid.
The Catalans suffered their first league defeat of the campaign in Sunday's 2-1 loss in the Vicente Caldron, with Diego Forlan and Simao on target for Atletico, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic replied for Pep Guardiola's side.
The loss meant Barca's lead at the top of La Liga has been cut to two points, but Maxwell is not unduly concerned.
He told Barca TV : "We always want to win every match, but that is very difficult, virtually impossible. It is something that happens once every 50 years.
Important"What is more important is that we continue to play well. Until now we have had a spectacular league campaign with some great games and we have won a lot of points and that gives us great confidence to continue.
"We know that we did not have a great game [against Atletico]. We made mistakes at times when we do not normally make mistakes and their forwards were very quick and had great technique.
"These are things that can happen. It is almost impossible to go through the entire season unbeaten and we have plenty of time to bounce back."
Barcelona were without several key players in the Vicente Calderon and then saw Seydou Keita and Xavi pick up knocks that has made the treatment room become even busier.
Maxwell added: "It is difficult because with injuries and suspensions we have many players unavailable.
Complicated
"It is complicated but everyone is working to come back as quickly as possible. These are things that happen though."
Meanwhile, Maxwell has hailed Barca coach Guardiola, who has guided the Catalans to unprecedented success.
He added: "He is the most complete coach I've ever had.
"He understands so much about football, talks a lot with the players, is very open and very well prepared.
"He is a very comprehensive coach and is highly motivated to win even more."
