Ewerthon heading home

Ewerthon heading home

Brazilian outfit Palmeiras have reached an agreement with Real Zaragoza regarding the signing of Ewerthon.

The Samba star is set to head home after spending the last nine years in Europe.

Having made a name for himself at Corinthians, he joined Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in 2001.

After four years in Germany he headed to Spain, signing for Zaragoza.

Since then he has enjoyed loan spells at Stuttgart and Espanyol, as first-team opportunities at La Romareda have become increasingly rare.

The 28-year-old, who has seven caps for his country, has now decided to return to his roots in an effort to resurrect his career.
