Nonda plays waiting game

Nonda plays waiting game

Former Blackburn striker Shabani Nonda has decided to wait until the summer before signing for a new club.

The free agent was linked to several clubs, including both Portsmouth and Real Betis, after being released by Turkish outfit Galatasaray last month.

But the former Roma and Monaco hit-man has now decided to wait before embarking on the next chapter of his career.

The 32-year-old Congo international scored seven goals in 26 games during a six-month loan spell at Blackburn before moving to Galatasaray in 2007.
