Pep Guardiola has signed a new one-year contract with Barcelona to stay as coach at Camp Nou.
The 39-year-old has enjoyed wonderful success in his two years at the helm of the Catalan giants, winning two Primera Ligas, two Spanish Cups and the UEFA Champions League.
Guardiola met with former president Joan Laporta in January to discuss a deal, coming to a verbal agreement to sign a new contract this summer.
The former Barca skipper then met with new president Sandro Rosell on Wednesday to sign the contract, according to the club's official website.
Bank loan securedBarcelona also confirmed that the club had secured a 155million euros loan from a group of banks led by La Caixa and Banco Santander.
Rosell revealed last week that the move had to be done in order to pay players, coaches and other staff following cash flow problems.
Vice president of finance Javier Faus is to give details of the move on Thursday, which could aid them in their pursuit of Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas and Liverpool's Javier Mascherano.
