Alexander Hleb is waiting to speak with new Barcelona president Sandro Rosell to discuss his future at the club, according to one of the player's agents.
The 29-year-old midfielder, who spent last season on loan at Bundesliga club Stuttgart, still has two years remaining on his deal at Camp Nou and is prepared to return for pre-season training.
However, the former Arsenal man must first find out whether his services are still required at the Catalan outfit.
"What we want now is to speak to the new president," Nikolai Spilevski, one of the player's agents, told Sport .
"Hleb has two years left on his contract and he wants to fight for a place in the team, but if they don't want him then we will start to look for another club.
"There is interest from several clubs, but we won't do anything until we have spoken to the president."
DepartureMeanwhile, Barca youngster Gai Assulin is poised to depart the club after his contract expired.
The 19-year-old Israeli, who has been likened to superstar Lionel Messi, is rumoured to be heading to Tottenham this summer.
The winger has also been linked with moves to Arsenal, Liverpool and Real Madrid.
