Khedira seals Real switch

Germany midfielder Sami Khedira has completed his move to Real Madrid from Stuttgart after passing a medical.

Real agreed an undisclosed fee with Stuttgart on Friday and Khedira has quickly tied up his switch to El Santiago Bernabeu.

New Real coach Jose Mourinho had targeted a move for Khedira after the 23-year-old impressed during the World Cup in South Africa with Germany.

A number of clubs were credited with an interest in Khedira, but Real managed to lure the midfielder to the Spanish capital.

Khedira, who has signed a five-year deal at Real, is the club's third major signing of the summer following the arrivals of Angel Di Maria and Pedro Leon.

Meanwhile, Real legend Alfredo Di Stefano has been released from hospital after being monitored for a heart problem.

The 84-year-old Argentine left Madrid's La Moraleja Hospital on Saturday after being admitted on 23rd July.
