Veteran goalkeeper Andreas Palop has extended his contract with La Liga outfit Sevilla until 2013.
The 36-year-old shot-stopper joined Valencia as a youth player, spending four years learning his trade in the B team before moving on to Villarreal for two seasons.
Palop re-joined the Mestalla club in 1999, but failed to establish himself, making 43 appearances over six years.
The goalkeeper moved on to Sevilla in the summer of 2005 and quickly became one of the Andalusians' cornerstones, enjoying a successful period, winning two Uefa Cups and two Copa del Reys.
Palop is best remembered for scoring an injury-time equaliser in the Uefa Cup last-16 tie against Shakhtar Donetsk in 2007.
He went on to help the club lift the trophy that season in the final against Espanyol, where once again he was the hero of the hour, stopping three out of four penalty-kicks in the shootout.
"I am very happy," he told SFC Radio .
"I have always tried to do my best and I have no complaints because both the club and I have been winners."
