European eyes on Salvio

European eyes on Salvio

Argentine outfit Lanus have revealed that they have been approached regarding Eduardo Salvio's availability.

The 19-year-old striker is highly rated in his homeland, making his debut for the Argentina national side in May.

Boasting an impressive strike-rate at club level and in the youth ranks for his country, Salvio was never expected to pass under the radar of Europe's top clubs.

A switch to Italy and Spain has now been touted, with Lanus president Nicolas Russo admitting that clubs have been in touch.

"We haven't arranged anything with any team, we are going to analyse the offers that we have received and those that may still arrive," he said.

"After that we will decide what we will do.

"There is interest from teams like Fiorentina and Atletico Madrid, both their offers are interesting but we haven't arranged anything with anyone."
