Real Madrid winger Arjen Robben has almost completed a switch to Bayern Munich, according to reports in the German press.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu after the influx of new stars at Real over the summer.
Bayern are attempting to recover from their worst start to a Bundesliga season for 43 years, having taken only two points from their first three fixtures.
Now Munich-based newspaper tz is reporting that a deal to bring Robben to the Allianz Arena is being finalised by the two clubs.
It has been suggested that the former Chelsea player will fill the wide position vacated by Franck Ribery, who is set to be employed as a playmaker by coach Louis van Gaal.
But van Gaal has stated that he has no say on the decisions made in the transfer market and will leave any possible moves to Bayern chiefs Uli Hoeness and Karl-Heinze Rummenigge.
"I still have no influence on who Bayern buy and I have not yet got the team to buy into my philosophy," van Gaal said.
The German giants are reportedly ready to pay up to Ј11million for the Holland international.
