Uche to stay at Almeria

Uche to stay at Almeria

Fulham look set to miss out on Kalu Uche after the Nigerian forward declared his commitment to Almeria.

The Cottagers reportedly lodged a bid of around Ј2.1million for Uche last week which was rejected by Almeria.

It was understood that Fulham could return with an improved offer but negotiations now appear to have come to an end, according to Spanish sources.

Uche, who is under contract with Almeria for one more year, maintains that he is happy not to be going anywhere.

"I have a deal with Almeria and I will stay and give my maximum on the field," he told the Spanish press.

"I have not thought much about this subject and for me it is not frustrating.

"I am happy at Almeria and I still have a one-year contract."
