Sevilla have secured the services of sought-after striker Alvaro Negredo after capturing the Spaniard on a five-year deal.
The 23-year-old, who had previously been a target of Premier League side Hull City, makes the switch from Real Madrid.
Negredo struggled for playing time at the Bernabeu but impressed while scoring 19 goals during a loan spell at Almeria last season.
Hull has a Ј12million offer accepted by the Spanish giants, but the Spaniard snubbed Phil Brown's club in order to remain in Spain.
A statement on Sevilla's official website revealed that the transfer of Negredo had been a long and difficult process.
Complex"Sevilla FC and Real Madrid CF have reached an agreement for the striker Alvaro Negredo to join for the next five years," the statement read.
"The player is expected to arrive in the city tonight, and Seville will spend Friday morning having his medical examination. His presentation will then be held at 1pm.
"With the completion of this transaction, the club closes a difficult and complex negotiation that has become one of the soap operas of the summer.
"As it is known in football nothing is black and white and it is only when the pen ink is on the contract that anything is confirmed."
Although Negredo has signed a five-year deal at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium, his former club revealed that the deal includes a buy-back clause.
"Real Madrid CF and Sevilla FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of Alvaro Negredo to the latter club," Real stated on their official website.
"Real Madrid CF has the right to purchase the player back in the next two seasons."
