Zlatan states Barca intent

Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic insists he has no intention of leaving the club this summer.

The 28-year-old Sweden international has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League, although nothing has materialised so far in the transfer window.

Ibrahimovic moved to Camp Nou last year in a big-money move that was worth €40million (Ј32.8m) plus striker Samuel Eto'o, who switched to Inter Milan in the process.

But he failed to set the Primera Liga alight in his first season in Spain, and has been tipped by many to leave the club.

Ibrahimovic does not deny that he will play in England at some stage of his career, but for the time being, is focused on Barca.

"Every day people are linking me with new clubs. All this interest pleases me, but I still have four years on my contract with Barcelona and I don't have any intention of leaving," said Ibrahimovic.

"I am in the best squad in the world.

"Would I play in the Premier League one day? It will happen one day without any doubt, I have a lot to give to Barca, but we know that in football everything can change in 24 hours."

Recent reports have suggested new club president Sandro Rosell is trying to engineer a move for Manchester City misfit Robinho.

If a deal for the Brazilian attacker can be completed, it could leave Ibrahimovic further down manager Pep Guardiola's pecking order.
