Sevilla manager Antonio Alvarez claims it would not be a disaster if Luis Fabiano ended up leaving the club this summer.
The 29-year-old Brazil striker has been the subject of intense transfer speculation but has yet to move away from the Spanish side.
French outfit Marseille are in the hunt to sign Fabiano, with L'OM's president Jean-Claude Dassier claiming earlier in the week that getting the forward onboard was a priority.
The Spanish media claim Marseille are willing to pay €15million (Ј12.3m) for the Brazilian, and Alvarez believes if any deal is right for Sevilla, he would see it done.
"I am concerned but I am not going to lose any sleep over it," Alvarez said ahead of Saturday's Spanish Super Cup first leg against Barcelona.
"We are talking about an exceptional player but if the deal is profitable for the club... there's nothing you can do.
"I will say what I have always said, if Luis Fabiano leaves then someone else will come.
"We'll have to bring in a player who can guarantee success, who knows Spanish soccer and who is a proven goalscorer."
