Atletico Madrid striker Eduardo Salvio has signed a season-long loan deal with Portuguese champions Benfica.
The Argentina international joined Atletico in January on a five-and-a-half year deal from native first division outfit Club Atletico Lanus.
However, the 20-year-old failed to earn a regular playing spot at the club, with Uruguay World Cup star Diego Forlan and Sergio Aguero preferred up front.
Salvio was reportedly a target of numerous clubs this summer, including Serie A outfit Fiorentina.
