Real Madrid have been dealt a blow with the news that defender Raul Albiol could be out for up to five weeks with a sprained ankle.
The 24-year-old centre-half suffered the injury in Madrid's friendly draw against Belgian side Standard Liege on Tuesday.
Albiol is now not expected to feature for Los Merengues for at least one month after an MRI scan revealed the extent of the damage.
New Madrid manager Jose Mourinho is already without defenders Pepe (knee) and Ezequiel Garay (dislocated kneecap), and this latest injury will further add to his selection problems.
The Spanish giants kick-off their Primera Division campaign away at Mallorca on Sunday, 29th August.
