Rummenigge - Ribery remains

Rummenigge - Ribery remains
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is adamant that Franck Ribery is committed to Bayern Munich.

Ribery's dazzling form this season has seen him linked with a number of clubs, including Real Madrid, Manchester United and Barcelona.

However, chairman Rummenigge has stressed that Bayern have no plans to sell the France international in the summer.

He told Rheinische Post : "Facts are giving the answer to all of this.

"Franck is under contract until June 2011 and we are not ready to allow him to leave any earlier than this. No matter what.

Barca

"Franck is happy at our club and is not seeking a transfer away from here.

"My friend Joan Laporta (chairman of Barcelona) has immediately been in touch with me and Bayern as a club to make sure that there is no truth in stories linking Franck Ribery with Barcelona.

"Neither the player, nor his agent, nor anyone else has been contacted by Barcelona over a transfer."

However, Bayern president Franz Beckenbauer appears less certain about Ribery's future after the playmaker recently complained about the lack of support he receives from team-mates when playing on the left flank.

"Ribery gives the impression that he is saying those things with a specific intention," Beckenbauer told Bild .

"It is always a problem when a player wants to leave a club holds a gun to him telling him that he cannot. Bayern have been dependant on him for a long time."

Tymoshchuk

Meanwhile, Anatoliy Tymoshchuk, who will join Bayern in the summer from Zenit St Petersburg, is eagerly anticipating working under manager Jurgen Klinsmann.

He told tz : "I am looking forward to it.

"I hope he is still manager when I join Bayern. It is important to stick with a manager even during the very tough periods."
