Diego Forlan could be set for a summer switch to the Premier League, according to the Atletico Madrid striker's agent.
The Uruguay international is reported to be a target for big-spending Manchester City, who have been alerted by Forlan's form in La Liga this term, where he has 19 goals to his name.
Forlan became a cult figure during his two-and-a-half-year stay with Manchester United, with his whole-hearted displays appreciated by the Old Trafford fans despite a lack of goals.
The former Independiente and Villarreal forward rediscovered his prolific touch after leaving the North West for Spain and could now be tempted to have a second stint in the Premier League.
Forlan's agent Daniel Bolotnikoff exclusively told skysports.com that a number of clubs had made enquiries over his client, but insisted he was currently happy in Madrid.
EvaluateBolotnikoff said: "I have received calls from big European clubs requesting information about the situation, but I am not authorised to give their names.
"My answer is always the same. Atletico Madrid will decide on this subject.
"Diego is enjoying a great season in front of goal and is happy in Madrid, but at the end of the season we will be in a better position to evaluate the situation.
"Forlan could have a big role in England."
Tottenham and Sunderland have both been linked with bids for Forlan in the past, but appear to be out of the running as possible destinations for the forward.
Forlan admitted: "Now those are not of interest to me."
