Bojan Krkic insists that he is happy at Barcelona despite not featuring as much as he would have liked.
The 18-year-old burst onto the scene last season under ex-boss Frank Rijkaard but has found opportunities harder to come by under current manager Pep Guardiola with just ten starts in all competitions this term.
But that hasn't seemed to affect the Spanish Under-21 star's eye for goal with ten already this campaign, equalling last season's tally.
Bojan's ability in front of goal has meant that other clubs have been monitoring his situation at the Camp Nou, with Tottenham reportedly keen on the youngster.
But the Barca youth team graduate is determined to make the grade with the Catalans, although he does admit that a loan move could interest him.
"I came back thinking that I would have more time, be in the team more often but this is how things are and I am not unhappy," Bojan told EFE .
"I am calm because I am continuing to improve and understand what being part of a winning team means. I am experiencing the other side and seeing how things work while playing less.
"But it is difficult to play when you are on the bench and Messi, Henry and Eto'o are out on the pitch, three of the best players in the world.
"But what is important is to be happy with your work and to keep feeling positive and do everything you can to play.
Very high level"Then the coach has to choose his best team and the decision is no longer down to you. In a squad of 21 players there is a very high level.
"Last year things did not go well and I experienced the downside of playing football, but that has helped me.
"Titi (Henry) helped me with my progress because he also began very young like me and he was new to the squad as well and that was great because we have a very good understanding."
Bojan went on to add that he wants to stay at the club for years to come.
"Since last season my aim has been part of the squad and to improve in all areas," he explained.
"This club has always been very special for me and I hope to stay here for many years to come. Nobody has ever presented me with the chance to go out on loan, but if one day that chance came we could talk about it."
The striker scored both goals as Barca beat Almeria 2-0 away at the weekend as he looks to cement a place in the starting XI for the upcoming Copa del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao.
"Everything has happened very quickly for me, it has all come at once," he confessed.
"He gave me my chance and for that I will always be very grateful and he also gave me continuity.
"I have played in every round of the cup but there are a lot of players in the squad and I am not the one that decides."
