Montero claims Real deal
Ecuador international Jefferson Montero has claimed he is set to sign for Real Madrid.

The 19-year-old midfielder has previously played for Ecuadorian sides Club Sport Emelec and Independiente Jose Teran, and Mexican club Dorados de Sinaloa.

It is reported that Montero is due to travel out to Real and pen terms with the Primera Division champions, before being available for their Segunda Division B side.

Montero said: "Everything has been arranged, I only have to present myself at Madrid to sign all the documents and be ready for my new team."

Montero's agent, Diego Herrera, said: "Real Madrid have been watching Montero since the Pan American Games in 2007 when they were played in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

"They have also been following his performances watching videos from when he was playing at Emelec, Independiente Jose Teran and the Under 20 National Team."
