Ramon Calderon and Vicente Boluda have been charged with offences relating to irregularities at Real Madrid' s club assembly in December.
Former president Calderon was forced to resign from his post after the findings came to light, with Boluda taking charge at Santiago Bernabeu on a temporary basis until elections are held next month.
Judge Santiago Torres has charged the pair, along with 12 others, with offences relating to destruction, suppression or concealment of public documents and using false documents, the Madrid court said in a statement.
The accused have been called to appear in court on 20/21 May to answer the charges and the judge also ordered an examination of the reliability of the club accounts presented at the assembly.
Calderon's resignation in January threw Real into institutional turmoil and the 14th June elections have paved the way for a possible comeback by former president Florentino Perez, who helped to usher in the 'galactico' era during his time with the club.
Calderon, who replaced Perez in 2006, has been accused of manipulating voting at the assembly, which was later declared null and void.
He has, however, denied any wrongdoing and is prepared to challenge the accusations.
