Celtic are reported to be the latest side to show an interest in signing Liedson as a free agent this summer.
The Sporting Lisbon striker is set to see his current contract in Portugal expire at the end of the season.
With no suggestion that he is likely to pen an extension, he is expected to be leaving Estadio Jose Alvalade.
The 31-year-old has enjoyed six goal-laden years at Sporting, having joined the club as a relative unknown in 2003.
His rise to prominence has seen him become one of Europe's top marksmen, with regular interest expressed in his services.
He has remained loyal to Sporting until now, but appears destined to be taking on a new challenge in the summer.
The Brazilian born forward has expressed a desire to play for Portugal, should he be granted citizenship, and will be keen to join a club who can help him achieve his international ambitions.
Marseille, Sevilla and Celtic are all reported to be in the hunt for his signature, with his agent Gilmar Veloz revealing that discussions with any interested parties are set to be held imminently.
"We'll speak to interested clubs before the end of the season," he said.
