Reports in Spain claim that Manchester City are checking on Recreativo Huelva striker Adrian Colunga.
The 24-year-old has impressed for Recreativo this season following his summer move from second division Las Palmas.
Recreativo beat Derby County to Colunga's signature and his capture has proved a huge bonus with the forward grabbing seven goals already in his debut top-flight campaign.
Colunga is now attracted interest from a number of rival Spanish clubs, while scouts from around Europe are also keeping tabs on him.
City are understood to have posted a representative at the weekend's game with Malaga and Colunga would no doubt have impressed as he scored the winner in a 2-0 victory.
Colunga was asked about the City rumours, but insisted he knew nothing of any interest.
"The rumours are positive because it demonstrates that I am doing good work," he said.
"But honestly, I cannot say anything about City."
