Construction work on Valencia's new 73,000-capacity stadium has been suspended due to the Spanish club's financial troubles.
Valencia vice-president Miguel Zorio explained on Wednesday that work would recommence when the cash-strapped club meet their next construction payment.
"It's not a paralysation of works but a postponement of payment," Zorio told Las Provincias .
"When we pay, work will resume at the same rate as before. I wouldn't call it a paralysation because some workers have continued (working)."
Zorio confirmed that the €300million (Ј266million) stadium, which Valencia hope will assist in their bid to host a future UEFA Champions League final, should still be ready for the 2010/11 season.
