Zaragoza land Postiga
Former Tottenham striker Helder Postiga has signed for Spanish club Real Zaragoza on a three-year deal. The 29-year-old joins from Sporting Lisbon, where he had been since 2008. Zaragoza are believed to have paid €1million for the forward, although Postiga's former club, Porto, will receive half of the transfer fee. The Portugal international is joined by Luis Garcia, who also made the move on deadline day from Espanyol. Postiga had a disappointing and short-lived career at Spurs, scoring just one goal in the 2003-04 season. Since then, he moved back to play for Porto as well as their rivals Sporting Lisbon. He has remained a regular member of the Portuguese national team and scored in a European Championship qualifier against Norway in June.
