Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o is closing in on a move to Inter Milan with Zlatan Ibrahimovic moving in the opposite direction, according to his agent.
The Cameroon international's representative was in Milan on Wednesday and is close to finalising a lucrative five-year contract for the 28-year-old.
While Josep Maria Mesalles admits there is still work to be done on a deal, he believes an agreement could be finalised on Thursday.
Barcelona have reportedly offered €45million (Ј38.7m) plus Eto'o along with allowing Alexander Hleb to join on a year-long loan in exchange for Ibrahimovic.
Optimistic"We still have to work a lot," said Mesalles. "But I am optimistic, the agreement is close.
"Eto'o wants to come to Inter and he is very happy to come to Inter. We have taken a lot of steps forward."
