Soccer-Primera Liga reports

MADRID, March 22 (Reuters) - Brief reports of matches played in the Primera Liga on Saturday:

REAL MALLORCA 1 DEPORTIVO CORUNA 0

Mallorca striker Juan Arango eased his side's relegation fears when his free kick from wide out on the right flew over a huddle of defenders, bounced in front of keeper Dudu Aouate and ended up in the net midway through the first half.

Deportivo, who were a shadow of the side that beat Real Madrid 1-0 last weekend and remain in trouble, suffered an additional blow when striker Riki was sent off for picking up a second booking deep into stoppage time.

SEVILLA 1 ATLETICO MADRID 2

Atletico took an important step towards earning a place in next season's Champions League with a first win in over 15 years at the Sanchez Pizjuan.

Argentine forward Maxi Rodriguez put Atletico in front with a precise shot midway through the first half and although Diego Capel hit back for Sevilla at the start of the second, Sergio Aguero secured the win with a clever finish before the hour.

The match between the two sides was a typically fiery affair and Sevilla substitute Enzo Maresca was sent off just over six minutes after stepping on the pitch for headbutting Aguero.
